Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers

Baby Girl- This book is written in a form of three letters. In her three letters Sheree, the main protagonist writes about her life with her single mother and having little contact with her father, the attempts made to stay connected with both of her parents and last is her talking to her son about his own father and the consequences of the choices she has made in life.
The different issues expressed in this book are realistic and include the topics of self-esteem, the use of our bodies, race and teen pregnancy. A great book to use for high school students who might be experiencing a similar situation as Sheree.
